Hi all, This is my first thread as a new member. I've jusy put a deposit on a '97 V70 T5 auto. I intend to pick it up in the next few days. Everything on the car seems to check out ok apart from 2 slightly worrying things. 1) the car was imported from johanesburg in 2001 and as a consequence the oddometer is apparently in Km can this be fixed? 2) I looked hard to find confirmation that it had the right engine in it. There was a small black plate under the bonnet with what looked like the engine reference but was very hard to read. It appeared to say something like B5234VS rather than anything ending in T5. Anybody shed any light on either of these points?

Thanks guys, I've checked out the VIN number ( ) and discovered that the engine should be B5234T4. Can you tell me where I can find this number on the engine itself? Also the issue with the clocks is with the electronic oddometer measuring in Kph, the speedo face has already been changed to a dual scale with Mph prominent. Has anyone got experience of this?
