Cam belt or timing chain on '89 740

Hi - first posting so please be gentle with me. Am about to purchase a '89 740 GL saloon with the 2 litre engine and 5 speed manual box and 190,000 miles. Could someone tell me whether it will have a cambelt or a timing chain please. Thanks.

Its an easy DIY job on a 740, especially if you use a genuine Volvo Timing Belt, with the timing marks printed on it. Timing belt is under a tenner from Volvo dealers, Halfords cheapo aftermarket ones are only about 50p cheaper!!
