Replacing front marker light 1998 S40

How do I replace this unit ? I've managed to get the old one out but the wires disappear into the depths of the bumper so I cannot disconnect it. The new unit has a black plastic connector/plug giving the impression replacement must be easy but I can see no access to behind the bumper. Help !!

from what i remember it is a indicator light out job to get your hand down to the connector. When I personally changed my marker lights I had enough wire on the existing lights for me to cut and replace the connectors. so all i have to do now is pop the light out and the connections are there. no hard work.

did mine on saturday 

I did this yesterday, this is how i did it (mine was on the front): 1. undo the plastic tray underneath the front bumper. 2. disconnect the small white plastic connector (look at your new bulb to see what this looks like - it is the white piece on the opposite end to the bulb) 3. unplug the foglight out of the white connector and leave this to dangle. 4. reach up and pust out the old bulb from inside. 5. remove old cable. 6. feed in new cable. 7. re-connect fog light. 8. re-insert white connector. 9. try bulb and fog lights. 10. if they work, push bulb into bumper. 11. re attatch the plastic tray underneath the bumper.
