hello all im thinking of putting my kenwood headunit in my volvo s40, now will the adaptor fit in straight or will i need to buy a further adaptor? if so where to buy the adaptor and whats it called? is it easy to fit? i havent taken the exisitng hu out yet as i dont have a security code to put the old hu back in so i wont be able to check what i need etc. thanks

not sure what you mean by adaptor plate... is your kenwood a single din or double din like the HU? if not then you need a single din conveting plate, if it is double din, the your fine. either way your going to need an adaptrer lead to fit the iso plugs from your radio.
thanks for the reply i meant the power/speaker cables at the back of the headunit, will they fit the cables already in the car of will i need to buy an adaptor to make the headunit work? my kenwood is a single din but ill make a little compartment to cover the reast of the gap. thanks
its a single din cd player, i will also connect it to a six disc cd changer. not sure what isos are but i think it will require a convertor but wanted to double check. any idea what the convertor is called and where to get them from? ta.
iso is the standard connections from a head unit, you need to adapt to th esvo wires, so you need this: and you can buy it here.... WAIT its not the right lead i see now, but they wil lhave one for you!
i dont know, best thing to do is pull the HU out and unplug the arial, see what you have even try plug it into your unit, id say its going to be the same, but with my luck it will be the small plug type! if it is, you can get a adapter off ebay for pence.
